Hi everyone,

Fishing for walleyes has slowed down but for every thing else it has picked up. Having lots of action from bass, bluegills, crappies, and perch. Still getting a few walleyes, just not an over abundance and the size has been on the small side, but that speaks well for the future. Catching every thing on the PRO. jig tipped with mainly leeches but have caught a few with crawlers. The weather has run the gambit from hot and sunny and no wind to lots of wind and even had a storm that produced 3" hail. Lots of damage from that storm.
Water temps continue to go up and down which is creating inconsistency in the bite but I'm hopeful that the weather will settle down which will result in a more predictable bite. Continue to fish mainly deeper wood for most of the action. Have fished weed areas with very little results. Be sure to come up and enjoy the beauty the 'Big Chip' has to offer. I'm pretty much booked through sept. with just a few days yet available but there are lots of other qualified guides who can put you on quality fish. Look up 'Lake Chippewa Flowage Resort Association' to find a list of guides. Good luck fishing everyone.
