Thread: TFF Update

    Default TFF Update

Walleye action really slowed down yesterday as continued strong winds had the water so churned up you couldn't see your jig 3 inches below the surface. No shallow bite what so ever but my friend and I managed to find 3 good keeper eyes on jigs and 1/2 crawler in 10 to 12 feet of water over a fairly clear bottom, only a few hang ups in this area, don't really know why we tried this spot and don't really know why the eyes were there, possibly chasing the young of the year perch. Speaking about them, these little 1 inch perch are all over the flowage and in huge numbers, one can expect the bite to be somewhat slower until this forage base is thinned down, it's a yearly problem that we all have to deal with.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
