Back on line finally after major lightning strike totally wiped out computer along with modem, tried getting the old one fixed to no avail, still hoping to recover contacts and favorites from the hard drive. Oh well, back to fishing action, the past week and a half has seen some very good action regardless of wind direction or bright sky's, cloud cover (etc). My guests and I during this time have had some very good results from walleye, smallies, and on occasion some nice jumbo perch, all on 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads or 1/2 crawler in 3 to 7 feet over water in and around weeds, coontail and cabbage, very slow retrieve is the key as these fish are really tucked into the weeds and very difficult to determine if you have a bite or dragging a heavy weed, but a little patience to letting them tug on your line makes the difference. Can't stress enough how slow you have to work these weeds but that is the case, dragging your jig sometimes produces more fish than jigging it. Back out tomorrow with high temps to be the highest of the season and plan on working shallow weeds as well, will let you know the results of our half day trip.

Booking for month of August looks pretty empty so anyone looking to book a trip, get in touch, fish still bite that time of year.
