Saturdays warm temps along with clear bright sky's and calm water somehow was just the ticket to get the walleye on a very good bite. My 3 guests and I found the walleye and jumbo perch hugging the rocky bottom in 18 feet of water in a river channel. Working this area for some time with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either large fatheads or 1/2 crawler put a very good number of fish in the boat, the thing is most all these deep fish were caught on the crawlers. After this bite slowed down, we moved to 12 feet of water over submerged stumps and here, we finished our day with the last of the walleye needed, and not one on a crawler, they were hammering the fatheads, just never know what to expect on days like this.

Day off, body needs a break, will post again after next trip.
