The weather was pretty nice yesterday and we found a couple fish to go with the nice weather. We stumbled upon a stupid pattern. We found some carp spawning in a foot of water and there were muskies right in the middle of them. Actually the first muskie we caught I told my client to fight it really soft because I thought he had a carp snagged. Turned out he had a muskie with a Flowage Boa in it's mouth instead. That one was 38 1/2 inches. I was kind of shocked when I first saw the fish. I didn't even have the net in hand. We caught a 45 incher ten minutes later on a Pacemaker. That was one of the coolest hits I've ever seen. Just waked up and crushed it. Again, right in the middle of a bunch of carp swirling around. We had one other wake up on a Pacemaker in those carp and that was it for the afternoon. We quit before the rain came in and got to watch some basketball before getting to sleep. Pretty fun day.
