Hi everyone,

Guided two fishing buds, Charlie and Todd, who were transferred in their jobs from Texas to Chicago. They are good bass fisherman who had never caught a walleye before, but learned quickly. The weather was beautiful with abundant sunshine and a W-NW wind making a decent walleye chop. The air temps were comfortable in the mid 70's and the water temps started out at 69 degrees and rose to 72 by late afternoon.

We caught and released all our walleyes ranging up to 23" in the deeper wood on the PRO jigs tipped with leeches. Working the inline jig through the tangled wood allowed us to scrounge out the very finicky walleyes. Losing very few jigs in the gnarly snags allowed us more catching time and less tying time. The weather forecast calls for a great Summer so make time to come North of the 'TENSION ZONE'. Good luck fishing everyone.
