Stayed off the "lake" today and went on an "adventure" and portaged to Lake LaBelle. LaBelle is a fly-in type lake that Witch Bay offers their guests with a 16ft boat and a 6 hp motor. The 4 of us took our rods/reels and a handful of jigs/cranks and rode over, parked our boat, then hiked about a half mile to LaBelle. After trying a few of the rocky points we hit the mother lode and had a blast! The lake is catch and release with pike and walleye and we stayed until 1:00 or so and the smallest walleye was 18" and the biggest was 25". Non stop action once we found a good spot and then we came back to camp. Weather was great and suppose to be awesome tomorrow as well. Looking at the "bragging board" it seems as if the walleye bite is starting to turn on with a bunch of mid 20" fish being posted. Until tomorrow....
