Friday's action started out on a good note as my 2 guests and I found active walleye on our first stop. With a north wind blowing, we pitched our Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads into a wind blown point with submerged stumps galore and found 2 very nice eyes along with a couple of throwbacks. Then, out of nowhere the winds really picked up (25mph plus) making it impossible to work areas like this with a trolling motor so we moved to some fairly protected areas where we found one small throwback. As the winds continued to pick or so it seemed, we switched over to my fixed bobber method with an in-line-spinner tipped with smaller fatheads and then we drifted the shallow mud flats (4ft) and found some pretty good action from not only walleye but also some jumbo perch. Making a good number of drifts, we ended our morning trip with 5 more nice eyes along with several throwbacks and 4 big jumbo perch. No trip today as I needed time for aching shoulder to mend.

Back out tomorrow if the weather permits, will keep you posted.
