The cooler temperatures the last week have slowed the Musky bite a bit but they're still catchable, you just have to be patient and work a little harder for them. Slow shallow and small has been the key. There's lots of pan fish in the shallows right now, locate them and the Muskies will be close by. Remember to move slowly through these areas and make more casts on a spot than you normally would giving the fish multiple opportunities to eat. 6" minnow baits and small spinners like Joe Bucher's slop master have been the two most productive lures. Not a lot of big fish action the past week but still managed to get a few in the mid 30's. Open water bite was slow last week but don't give up on it, a lot of the larger females are still suspended recovering from the spawn. A good stretch of warm weather will help get the fish moving a little better. Good Luck!!
