Default Great info regarding lost lures stuck in Esox mouth.

I stole this from another site in order to spread the word:

So if possible, cut the hook off of a deeply hooked lure. I know the cutters I carry probably won't work for big hooks and are to short, so any suggestions for the best hook cutter out there? I'll bet that something at the hardware store would work (bolt cutters??).

2nd the Knipex, good German made cutters. I have two pair Both 8 inch, one is spring loaded the other is not. I have floats on mine, too expensive to drop to the bottom if not careful.
