During a drive around today several of the smaller lakes are 50+% open. Most are at least loose on the shorelines. I would not recommend any more ice angling this year. I am hoping to possible get a boat in this weekend if the weather warms. It can be a really good time to catch some nice crappies as they are still in the winter deeper water but moving to stage in front of the spawning areas. Slip bobbers and minnows work well at various depths until you figure out what depth the active fish are relating to. If you can get a slow drift it is optimal as you can cover more water that through a hole in the ice. If I get out this weekend I will give you an update.

Good Fishing,
