Anyone out on the ice that would know the thickness?
Anyone out on the ice that would know the thickness?
There should be a sticky at the top of the forum called "Ice Conditions". I encourage everyone to use that thread, so we don't have a zillion ice threads running at the same time. thanks
Muskie Randy, The last post on that thread was from 2010, I don't think it gets to much use!
My last post in that thread was last weekend! Are you sure you are not looking at when the thread was started? Try opening the thread and scroll around....
I was out last evening and found the ice to average around 9 inches, no slush. Fishing wasn't all that bad either, my guest Andy and I found 4 real nice eyes using walleye suckers and golden shiners in 7 feet of water. A good number of anglers out there also, most all were using 4-wheelers or snowmobiles. Still, caution is advised, not sure if anyone has ventured out into the big water yet.
Good luck and stay safe.
