Paul from Rochester, MN booked a trip on "Pete" for this morning to learn a little about the lake and to see how the walleye fish is. He has a place in northern Minnesota on Rainy Lake but wants to get closer to home so they are looking for a place on Petenwell. Another breezy and cool morning with the east winds. We went to the break on the buoy line and used dead-rods and jigs tipped with big fatheads in 12-20 feet of water around the wood, then trolled cranks for a while. Finished the trip with 2 "keepers", 23 "shorties", 1 perch, and 5 white bass. The fishing will be improving as fall wears on right up till the ice forms.

Keep a tight line!!!
