Hi everyone,

Guided Joel, his wife Lois, and Joel's brother Jerry for a full day on Friday. Fishing started out very consistent in the A.M. but turned South in the afternoon. We ended the day with 8 walleyes, smallmouth bass, perch, bluegills, and crappies. Even with the big crappies, they decided to keep only the perch releasing everything else.

Today I guided father/son Mark and Brian for a half day morning walleye hunt. Fishing was good all morning and when the dust settled we had boated 6 walleyes, keeping 1, about a dozen crappies keeping 7, perch keeping 2 and a nice bluegill putting it under the knife for a nice bag of mixed fillets for a fish fry.

The weather both days was knock down gorgeous with no clouds and warm air temps up into the 80's. The bonus was the beautiful colors displayed by the abundant deciduous trees lining the shore lines. There was a fairly stiff wind on Friday but almost no wind today. Water temps have gone back up to 65-67 degrees and with the abundant sunshine expect the water temps to rise. Caught all fish on lead-free jigs tipped with minnows. Friday the smaller minnows produced best but today the bigger minnows did a better job so keep experimenting. Looking to book your walleye hunt? Give me a call or email. Good luck fishing everyone.
