I guess I have not been in touch lately. Hunting season is under way. After the first couple weekends the bird numbers are down again. Leaves are still to think to try to bust the brush and expect any shooting. We are seeing a few birds but again it is pretty thick in the woods. Fall colors are coming on strong and I expect the next couple weeks will have good color. We were out musky fishing this past weekend. With the Hodag Musky Challenge going on we were forced out of the Rhinelander area so we did not have to compete with the tournament fisherman. We had water temps around the upper 50's to 60 degrees. It is expected nice temps for the next week so I expect water temps to actually climb. We had heavy wind and on Sunday we experienced heavy wind and falling temps. less than good conditions. We did manage to boat a 37 1/2 inch musky on Saturday and had another take a crack at a glider and missed. All in all it wasn't a terrible weekend.

Good Fishing,
