Tuesdays walleye action remained very good even though it wasn't perfect walleye fishing conditions. Fishing a half day with my gunsmith, Tom and his son Kevin, we found good action from different depths and structures. Dealing with completely flat water and bright sky's, we found a good number of eyes tucked in close to some submerged stumps in 10 feet of water, these eyes were all taken on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large leeches, they would not hit a minnow in these areas. We tried some stumps in 13 to 15 foot depths but found nothing. As the sun got higher and the temps rose, we moved to deeper water over rocks and found some very nice eyes once more, only this time they would only take the jig with a large fathead, it pays to have a variety of bait along on a trip, just never know what bait they will want at any time.

Day off today, Loon Day in Mercer, back out tomorrow, will keep you posted.
