Dan from Madison booked a mid-day trip with his grandson Lev on "Pete" for today. It was a beautiful day to be on the water for sure. Almost clear blue skies, and no wind. We don't get to see a day like this on Pete very often. For the most part we vertical jigged the timber along the channel edges with 1/4 ounce brush jigs tipped with small fatheads, and leeches. Most of our fish were on the 12 -16 foot contour. Orange, and pink produced most of the action. We boated 24 walleyes in the 13-15 inch range and lost many more. All fish were returned to fight another day. We did have one cat as well. Trolled cranks for about an hour and never had a fish, not even a white bass!
