Once again we wish to thanks all our sponsors and supporters for helping make this Operation possible and supporting all Vets.Stay tuned to us here and on Facebook for daily updates and pictures as the Operation goes on.

Hi.What a day. What weather. One storm after another.Final tally and pics tomorrow but here's what my wife posted on Muskies First.Off to bed, more tomorrow.

"Hi.quite a first day with some very rough weather.Guess some of the guides encountered severe storms.Regardless they and the Vets came through well with quite a few muskies and nice pike.Sorry I don't have a final tally for the day but I know there was a 51 and 3/4,a 47 and quite a few others-guessing about 6 or 7 others.Due to rain and mosquitos I'll have a daily total and pictures tomorrow.

Looks like everyone's having a great time. The bear pictures are too cool. Would love to have seen that, what a privilege.

Hi all.Haven't had much time to post.Been extremely tough fishing conditions.Windy, rain and cool or sunny ,calm and cool.Just can't seem to get the water temps to stay up.
Man are our guides working hard. What an amazing group.Trying new things and sharing info with each other. The water is getting searched from 1 foot to 35 feet 30 miles in every direction. And the Vets?Well we knew they were tough.Hanging in there, working hard, cheerful and having fun.
Last day of fishing and it's looking better weather wise so am praying for great fishing.More later.
    Good fishing!

Even a bad day of fishing is still a good day if you are at Lake of the Woods! Thanks for all of your reporting and the pictures.

Thursday was sunny with some wind. Fish were active. The hours of hard work of guides and Vets paid off today. Many fish were caught and saw many more.

Thanks to all the generous people that make Operation Muskie happen. All the smiles tell the story.

Looks like a great time. Love the pics with the guides with their hands in the air! Was it really that hard to get a fish for your vet? LOL

I appreciate the opportunity of being a part of a combined effort to make a successful 2014 Operation Muskie. It was my pleasure to serve you at the "Mess Hall" on one of the most beautiful lakes in the US.

    Dick,
Thanks much to you and your friend Gary Cooper for cooking and running the mess hall.Few appreciate good cooking like the Vets do and man they had all they could ask for this year.EVERY meal was above and beyond.Got to admit those Nebraska steaks were almost as good as South Dakota beef.
There are more pics coming but it may be awhile as Bets didn't have them while here and now she's home a week so....
