Thread: TFF Update

    Default TFF Update

Thursday greeted my group of 3 good ole buddies, Mike, Mike, and Burke with clear skies, cool temps, and a NW breeze. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we started out working 13 to 15 foot depths over submerged stumps, old root systems, and what ever else was down there like (fish). Working these areas back and forth for some time and with a very slow retrieve, we came up with some real nice eyes along with several throwbacks. The bite was not real noticeable, just a slight pickup, kind of like you were dragging some weeds, if you felt that and set the hook you had a walleye on. After working these areas for some time and having 9 real nice eyes in the well, we moved on and worked some wind blown shorelines that had good coontail growth and once again found the eyes, some small, 3 more nice ones for the well, and a 22 incher that was released. A great day guys, thanks.

No trips scheduled till next Wednesday and the fish are biting. Happy 4th of July to all and may God bless America.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
