After a couple of days off, I was back at it Tuesday with my brother and his pastor from Wausau. Rigged with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we started working 5 to 7 feet of water over weeds mixed in with wood. These areas held the larger walleye that we caught during the day, most all of them were tucked in the weeds pretty tight and took a little persuading to get them to bite, but we managed to get 5 nice honkers from these areas before moving on to try some drifting with fixed bobbers with in-line spinner/fathead combo over shallow mud flats and we found not only more walleye, but a good number of perch. No indication yet of any real massive mayfly hatch although there are several mayfly casings floating around out there, didn't seem to affect the bite.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
