Hi everyone,

Guided Walt for a full day yesterday. It was like two days wrapped up in one. The morning started out with a thick fog that rolled in at 8 A.M. and rolled out after an hour with little to no wind and a very cloudy sky. The fishing was great though as we caught a lot of walleyes and crappies and had lots of hits we missed. Just before noon the sky opened up and poured on us for an hour. After we got drenched the sky cleared up and the wind kicked up to ludicrous speed from the North and the air temp. dropped about 15 degrees.

After lunch the fish just shut off with the weather change, but we managed one more walleye and that was the only keeper for the day. we caught a ton in the morning but the majority were 13"-14" and were all released. We did catch a bunch of crappies that we filleted so Walt does have a nice fish dinner waiting. Most fish were caught on the PROaggressive lead-free jigs tipped with leeches with a few walleyes on minnows. Fished mainly the deep wood pattern and there seemed to be a lot of fish feeding out there. Water temps. were at 74 degrees most of the day, even after the weather change. Good luck fishing everyone.
