Back out on Tuesday for a half day trip with a Grandfather/Grandson duel, Tom and Baylor, and we were on the walleye from the very beginning. With clear bright skies and no wind to speak of, we started out working deep water, 13 to 15 foot over scattered submerged stumps. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or fatheads, we found active eyes almost from the first cast we made. The bite remained very good for about an hour and then slowly tapered off. By this time we already had our limits of eyes so I gave my guests a little tour of the flowage and then we tried shallow water (4 ft.)with lots of emerging weeds and found a variety of fish tucked in the tangled mess of weeds and sticks. Walleyes, perch, pike and one aggressive musky were all hiding in the weeds looking for a meal while also taking advantage of the weed cover to hide them from the bright sun light. All in all, we boated many fish in our half day of fishing and we all had a great time.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
