Back out on Thursday with same guest, Roger who was with me on Wednesday and we had a repeat performance from the walleye and other species. Starting in the same area as the day before, 15 foot deep over submerged stumps, we found the eyes to be very aggressive as we boated close to 20 in just over an hour, all on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads. Kind of funny because the day before the best bite was on crawlers. The interesting and exciting part of all the fish we caught were that there were so many different year classes in this area, very good to see. After keeping our 6 eyes that we were happy with, we set up with slip bobbers and started working shallow weedy shorelines and really had a ball. Using just a 2 inch piece of crawler, we boated numerous smallies, along with some crappies, perch and pumpkinseeds, no bluegills though. Interesting thing about the crappies and pumpkinseeds were that they hadn't spawned yet.

Back out today to spend some time with my son, Jeremy, hoping for a great bite and an even greater time.

Will keep you posted.
