Water was 65 degrees on the north end and muddy. Center of the lake was much more clear, but a few degrees cooler. Weeds are getting a good start on the shoreline. Saw a few musky hunters and a few bass fisherman. The vast majority of boats were looking for crappie. A couple of locals suspected the crappie spawn to be near the end.

We were out for 8 hours and boated a 40. Had no follows that we saw. The one caught was very aggressive and scarred from his spawning season. He was a mess! My partner was fishing for bass and landed three smaller ones and some nice crappie on small crankbaits.

Hope this report helps a bit.
