Just looked at the Xcel Energy site. The Chip is up over a foot from a couple of weeks ago! Was at 1305.something, now at 1306.75. Outflow down to 211.

We had some good runoff in the rivers last week but this cold front is a doozy. we are expected to have record lows this week. That will set the ice out date back quite a bit.

Bad news for tonight and temps going down to around 15 and 8 plus inches of snow starting tomorrow night.

It is looking like 13" tomorrow and another 6" on Friday. Maybe all the weight will push the ice under water and melt it that way. Wishful thinking I guess.

Even with your continued "winter weather", the Chip is up another foot since the 14th. Was amazed at the snow storm that went through there yesterday...U.P. got slammed again too!

we could have some flooding up here over the weekend. The Chip will go really fast now. This snow actually will help. Then again, four inches of rain would have done the same thing and made walking and driving around a little easier.
