Fishing in Central Wisconsin has been pardon the pun - HOT. Prior to the heat wave hitting Central Wisconsin the bite had been on! Panfish especially crappies have been found suspended in the water column and have been caught drifting small crappie minnows. The walleye bite has also been very good. Most of our fish have come related to channel breaks using both minnows and crawlers. We have suspended musky fishing until cooler weather returns due to the possibility of higher mortality rates of released muskies during this heat wave. Prior to the hot weather we had established an excellent musky pattern throwing both buck tails and top waters with fish related to weed lines. With a return to more normal temperatures and water levels look for the next few weeks to be fantastic for fishing. Hope to see you on the water.

Take a kid fishing and remember to thank our veterans for everything they have done
