June 24th fishing report

I had Joel and his son Jacob out yesterday for a full day. The goal was to get Jacob his first fish and right away Jacob got a 47 incher on a Ghosttail. I didn't think he was going to get it in. The fish just stayed down the whole time. When it finally came up and Jacob saw it I thought he was going to give up because his arms were tired but we got it. We had two others go after Suicks and maybe one on a Rabbid Squirell bucktail. Didn't get a look at that one. All in all a good day. I'm thinking Jacob is hooked now.

Also for those that have not tried the new HD plastic Suicks, they work great. They run a little deeper but if you bend the tail a little it will stay up higher. They are easy to work.

Nice, I bet he was excited! not a bad way to start off! congrats on the big fish, headed up tonight for a week on the chip. Hope deerfoot has enough captain!
