Treated myself to a day off from work and an early birthday present. Hit the Chain this morning and it was pretty quiet until about 8 am. This is when the conditions started to change. Was fishing on Lake Marie with a Whopper Plopper and got "smoked" by a very fat 40". 45 minutes later, on the same shoreline 2nd pass through the Plopper got stopped by a another chunky 38". Storm front started to move in and I could hear the "musky music" coming. Stopped on Channel lake in front of Mentones and was working a H2O Nitro when it was stopped by a 35". Now it was a little after 10 am. The lighting and darkening skies said my morning was done. Water temps were 74-76. Clarity fair. Weed good. The barometer dropped big time while I was on the water.
