There is a saying in Wisconsin if you do not like the weather just wait awhile and it will change, well we have been waiting for a while and finally it has change. Crappie fishing has been above average we have been 7-10 ft of water on the weedline. We have been 1/32 oz jig with a plastic.

Northern pike action has been excellent due to the colder water temperatures. Most of the fish can be caught in 7-10 ft of water we have been getting good use out of the trolling motor by pulling our presentations along or when the wind kicked up correcting the boat to be ibn the right depth a long wait more than a 30 second count has before increased the catch rate.

Largemouth bass remain in the shallows in 3-4 ft of water. The best approach is fishing Texas rigged Yum Dingers in green pumpkin or watermelon seed. We have been casting a Yum Dinger on fireline with a 3/0 worm hook.
Bluegill fishing is best in the 6-7 ft water depth, which The best presentation has been either small leaf worms or hellgrammites. I’ve been using Thill spring bobbers about 3 ft down in the 7 ft water depth. The The bluegills are just beginning to spawned because of the cool spring.

Walleye fishing remain fair in the shallows 4-6 ft of water on inland lakes. We have been seeing more action very early in the morning and later in the evenings. Walleye fishing has been good to excellent on Lake Koshkonong and the Rock River. The best presentation is 3/8 oz jig green or orange with a half crawler keeping the boat moving with the current has been working the best. In the last week we have been catch more and more walleyes trolling #5 jointed shad raps, and Salmo Hornets. The cat fish have been excellent during low light periods. we have been using 1/4-1/2 oz linfy rigged egg sinkers with cut either cutbait/crawlers.
