I was able to get out a few times this week with some success. We found fish still very shallow and on the weed edges. I Haven't had much success fishing suspended fish, I found bait fish but not much for the musky bite. Bucktails (Cowgirl Jr & Schumway Flashers) and crankbait (Slammers)and (Depthraiders) on the break lines were what We found to be most productive. Water temps were between 62/65 and the weeds are really coming around on some lakes and others not so much. Things were really starting to pick up but now this next week with highs in the low 60's might slow things down. I imagine the water temps should drop a bit. In the past I found I did very well on topwater baits in coldfronts earlier in the season which is when you would expect glide baits and smaller presentations to work. Stick with it don't give up on the fish, just slow it down and keep a close eye on your sonar tables. The tables will prove very effective!

Good Luck!
