    Default Tomahawk Fishing Report 5/31/2013

Fair to good reports this week with the changing weather conditions.

Bluegills are in and out of the shallows, keep checking and you should find them anywhere from 1 to 4 feet of water. Slip bobbers with a 1/64oz Jighead tipped with a waxie is hot. Move quietly into the shallows so you don't spook the fish. Make long casts into the shallows and slowly retreive your setup slowly back to the boat.

Crappie, some anglers are catching them up in the shallows with the gillls (odd year) otherwise fish suspended fish just off fallen trees or brush piles. Again use slip bobbers and 1/32oz Jig-N-Minnows.

Bass action is strong with anglers catching some real trophies. Plastics are working great, the best to use are Chompers, SlopMonsters, Havocs and BfishN's. Look for the bigger fish to be deep right now. Smaller bass are searching the shallows for their spawning grounds.

Pike, some big ones this week with a 40" trophy caught while Musky fishing (her husband also caught and released a 42" inch Muskie) Spinnerbaits working good, use a 3/8 to 1/2oz size.

Muskies, very good. Several nice fish with a 48 inch the largest. Suicks are the Muskies choice along with Phantoms. The stretch below Kings dam to the first bend is producing some nice fish. The Tomahawk River and the east end of Lake Alice are some other good areas this week.
    Good Luck

Starting to move some muskies on topwater. No takers yet but I moved 2 last night on a Nimmer lure.
