The last two days has once again seen some very good walleye action. Both Sunday and Monday found the walleye in depths of 3 to 8 feet of water over or around wood or rock structure and holding fairly tight to the bottom. Using the wind to our favor, we worked wind blown shorelines and rock piles to our advantage and were on fish pretty much all day long. Using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads and also 1/2 crawlers,we worked these areas almost at a crawl and found the bite to be very light as these fish had their tummys packed full of mayfly larvae, don't know how some of these fish could actually get anything more down their throats. As the water temps rose during the afternoon hours, the smallies got fairly active and they gave us a little more reason to fish just a little longer, water temps were approaching the mid 60's.

Rain out today, will be back out Wednesday and will keep you posted.
