Thread: Weekend Fishing Report

    Default Weekend Fishing Report

On Saturday I had John and Joe out again and we caught some really nice walleyes. The largest were between 22 and 25 1/2 inches. The weather was horrible but the fish were hitting hard. We didn't fish long in the evening session because of the weather. We had eight fish over twenty inches and let them all go.

On Sunday we had a hard time catching fish. We caught one and lost another at sundown but the highlight of the day was a forty inch muskie that gave us a good ride on light line. That was the first muskie Mariel had ever caught.

    Good luck,

We've caught them on jig and minnow, crank baits, swim baits, blade baits and ring worms. I know that's kind of a bland description but it's true. If we're fishing deep water we use blade baits and jig and minnow presentations. If we're fishing shallow we use crank baits and swim baits or ring worms. If your not getting the walleye on one depth or bait, change it up.
