Ice conditions update

Frankie, can you give us an ice condition update. Just curious how things are looking.

What ice??????? Ice went out enough to boat to Young's Bay on Sunday. Was a bit on the big lake. Sunday's photo shows the Angle and western shore open. Monday's shows most of the ice gone, but tough to see with the clouds.

Water levels are higher than I am used to seeing when the ice leaves, but remember, it's now mid May, not mid April.

Seems funny to have the Alaskan sitting at the dock.

Is that the latest it's been since you and Laura have lived there Frank? Looks like there's still a bit on the Flag webcam picture, but it looks to be a floating island of ice.

The strong south winds today brought up a bunck of ice chunks. I waould think with the winds, the lake will be ice free tomorrow. The record was is 96. They declared ice out to be May 18th. Guess it's a matter of when the declare the lake ice free.
