Water temps where in the low 50's this past weekend for the Southern Wisconsin opener. I fished both days on Pewaukee mainly twitching small Slammer minnowbaits and Drop Belly Gliders in the warmer water areas. Saturday we seen a bunch and boated a 36"er on a Golden Shiner Drop Belly and lost 2 on a Slammer 6" and 7" shallow minnow. Sunday fished a half day and we stayed shallow again and seen 6 or so and got a small one on a 6" Slammer minnow. With the forecast of steady weather this week things should keep getting better as the fish recover from spawning.
See you out there.
