Dan K and I took a trip to Lake Carlton on Sunday. Ended up with 4 in the boat, 1 lost and follows from 5 others. Three of the four boated were less than 30 inches but actually represented 2 to 3 year classes which was good to see. The fourth boat was a 45.5" taken on a baby shallowraider. Water temps were 61-63; weed growth good. Clarity was good overall. It has been over 15 years since I had fished Carlton but it was nice to see really nothing has really changed.

Only low for the day was a guy from the quad-cities areas that caught a 38" muskie on a jig/pig combo bass fishing. He had never caught a muskie before and therefore he decided to keep it which was his choice.
