Not Buck. I think Craig Schlapper had the largest stringer. It was tough fishing but the average size was up.

I have noticed in a few different lakes that when the walleye population was on the decline most of the fish that were caught were above average. Almost like the strongest survived. Do you think that this holds true with the flowage. I don't fish it much, mainly just for muskies but friends say walleye fishing has really gotten tough there.

One of the reasons people have a hard time fishing walleyes on the Chip is because it changes so much. We're catching a lot of nice fish right now so I think it's great fishing but the fishermen that fish the Chip like a lake do not do well. These fish.are.constantly changing locations so don't get married to spots and you'll do fine. We had six between 20 and 25 1/2 inches in an hour this morning so there are still a few fish to catch. That doesn't mean the lake is full of walleyes bit there's a good population if you move around and get out of your comfort zone.
