Thread: Current Conditions

    Default Current Conditions

I was out this morning surveying some of the local lakes. It does not look good for the opener. The lakes that I looked at most of them are starting to loosen along the north shores. They are maybe out a couple feet. It is supposed to cool down the later part of the week and possible snow showers/rain on Friday. I think it will be a day by day situation as to what happens for the opener.

    Think Spring!

    Hi Mark,

Actually a few of the local lakes have shed their ice. The Moens chain, Lake Nakomis, Lake george, are a couple. Lakes like Squash, Crescent, Boom (except for the river part) are still iced in. Just a last minute update as of Friday at 11:00 AM.

    Scott:

I can add these to the list of open spaces:

During my trip to Three Lakes last night, I observed that Watersmeet on the E.R. Chain was open and the north half of Rangeline was open. Also, the south third of Mid Lake was open on the Minocqua Chain. I had heard that the Moens Chain had opened...
