Traveled up to Sand Bay Saturday the 30th. Parked next to new member Andy Marcinowski purely by chance, he saw the GLSF sticker on my rear window, and asked if I was a member. I told him I was the treasurer, and we talked about the auction. He then asked if we had been up lately, and I told him yesterday was not a good day for me. He then volunteered to show us where he fishes. I fished 47 fow Friday-very slow.
We followed him out, and proceeded to limit out in less than 3 hours.
THANK YOU ANDY ! We fished in 62 fow,Swedish pimples with red/orange back, and the slider hook above the swivel. Caught about half of the fish on the slider, I use a #4 short shank red Eagle Claw Octopus hook on the slider, most guys use a #8 or 10 treble hook. We got out after, but came in before most of the others that were fishing in shallower-45-50 ft. Got fish up to 24", and wider than a 2X4. Had over 10 lbs. of fillets at the end for me. I prepared several fillets that night using Fry Magic, they were great.
