Hello , I would also say it is the Big Island in the ' old Bay ' across from Lake Bastine , the power lines would be running in back . And if this is correct , the Power Line Poles used to be on one of the small ' islands ' .

OK. In Bastine looking north at "Dee's Island" and the point of the Hiawatha Resort (nka condo proposal!).

What does Flambeau Fluffy's big book of records say for the latest ice out ever? Was it in 1996?

Have a good weekend everyone. Kathy and I will be back at cleaning carpets and wiping walls at Flambeau Vista Retreat.

Good job Timk, you'd of thought that Scott for sure would have gotten that one (see map).

Flambeau Fluffy's Big Book of Records shows that 1995 the flowage was frozen over for opening weekend. We had to trailer our boats to Murray's Landing and fish the Flambeau River. The last time was 2008, where we had ice the Friday morning before opener and it went out that afternoon.

    Here is a new spot.....

Have a great day and catch the big one,

Hello , I'll try as it looks like a few places . Is it the big Island , the point across from Al's place . To your right and in back would be the Dam and to your left a large Bay that extends to the Power Lines , etc. ? Also, my brother mentioned the details on the maps you are using for the ' answered ' location are very good . Who makes the Map ?

Thank you ... we should all retire and live on the Flowage ! Always wanted to spend the entire year ' up north ' , watching the seasons change , Walleye at the Falls spawning , be able to hear the Ice when it breaks and cracks too . Have a good day !

I'm guessing that today is Flambeau Fluffy's birthday. Happy 29th!

Hi Tim, no that isn't it... The map I use is from the Turtleflambeauflowage.com site... http://turtleflambeauflowage.com/ima...apside2012.pdf

Scott, your right it's Fluffly's birthday.

Stay warm, suppose to get 3-6" of snow, Yikes,

Tiny , thanks for the Map Info . You have 3-6" of snow , we have much that in rain this morning ! You could drive a boat down some of the streets , now , if I could only find a stump to tie onto ....

    Unhappy Two for two?

I believe you're in the Beaver Flats looking westish. Over the island would be Lake Ten and over and to the left would be Rat Lake. If that's correct, next time you're in that spot keep your eyes peeled for a huge walleye with a black and gold wally diver and half a swivel in it's mouth. Unfortunately, I have the other half of the swivel.

    Default Good job

Randy, your smoking two for two.... Must be the same walleye that my brother trying to net from behind, knocked off a black and gold wally diver (damn rookie).

Selfishly, I hope all this moisture brings the water level up to full pool. I'm bringing a shiny-new boat & lower unit up in 3 weeks,,,,,

luv2brw is the closes so far, but that's not it.....

Got six to eight inches Friday and a little more on Sunday. Only snowmobile travel is happening on the ice. Bring you tip-ups for opener. I didn't put my shandy or ice fishing gear away. By this time I would have new line on all my rods, haven't even thought about it this year.

Suppose to get six inches of snow Tuesday. It doesn't look good for a few more weeks to come.

Keep your stick on the ice,

The 2nd pic looks like the islands on the west side of Baraboo, with all the laydowns from the twister.

Looks like going through the narrows headed to Lake of the Falls with Pink Rock straight ahead.

Start of the narrows leading to Springstead Landing? Small rock island sometimes has a bleach bottle tied to it.

Looks like you're in the small unnamed deep basin southwest of Baraboo and east/southeast of Sweeney, looking south in the direction of Mud Lake and Crow's Nest in photo 1 and southeast in photo 2.

Default Good to see this one got lots of hits.

Flowage Bandit is right on the money, good job! See attach map.....

Looks like we'll have to extend "Guess that spot", normally it ends with the opener. We'll have hard water for a few more weeks.

You are just north of site B-5 and south of B-6, at the north end of a finger like peninsula, looking west-northwest at the Big Island in the background.
