It has been a while since my last post. We are ever so slowly getting closer to spring. I was out this weekend a couple times. We still have a lot of ice. I had over 24" where I was. I was fishing crappies with tip-downs and minnows. The best was suspended about 2 foot from the bottom. I tried both crappie minnows and Rosie reds. Both appeared to be working equally good. The bite was pretty good and it should get better as the late ice season moves forward. Some of the small creeks and rivers have opened up and is giving us a glimpse of what is to come. We are under a winter storm warning tonight and into tomorrow with 5-9" of snow expected. This weekend travel on the lake was pretty good. If you stayed on the main road. If you wanted to move off of the road 4 wheel drive was a must. If we get this expected snow it could really hamper travel and be back to mostly snowmobiles.

Good Fishing,
