faeb 19 - wind and flurries from yesterday closed the lake roads
Wayne is spending his early morning making a new road to the ice shack. been out there hour and half now and is 3/4 way out. I see he tried to just open the current road, but the snow is too high on the sides now so a new one must have been the easier route. Fishing is still slow, I talked to a guy last night at the Am Legion and he said the walleye were doing well at 42' on pike bay, but also said the fishing is not like last year. He doesn't fish for perch so he had nothing to say about them. wind yesterday was gusting at 20-25 mph and wayne was out twice opening the roads. I was watching the fishermen with kids up yesterday - so what to do when the fish aren't biting.in the summer we call it tubing - I don't know what you call it in the winter. looked fun except for the cold and wind. your can see star island in the background and our ice shack on toms bar. in 9'
