New musky regulations take effect this year in Michigan and will be one of a variety of topics covered. Great speaker lineup and some fantastic door prizes will be given away. BOUNDARY WATERS MUSKY CLUB

The Boundary Waters Musky Club will be holding its 5th annual Expo and Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 23rd, at the Econo Lodge in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The event will feature a tackle swap, prize raffles, and a number of guest speakers. The public is welcome to attend. Speakers run from roughly 11-4 CST with the Annual Meeting of the Club to follow. This year’s speaker lineup will include:
*Aquatic Invasive Species Expert Ann Hruska
Trends and concerns with area aquatic invasive species and ways
anglers can help reduce the spread.

*MI DNR Regional Fisheries Supervisor Jessica Mistak
Current and future muskellunge management issues in Upper Michigan and opportunities for partnerships.

*WI DNR Fisheries Biologist Chip Long
Current and future muskellunge management issues in NE Wisconsin and opportunities for partnerships.

*Musky Guide Dan Lazzeroni
Tips and tactics for getting kids involved in musky fishing!

*”Musky Jesus” Jeff VanRemortel---Featured Guest Speaker
Strategies on the water from one of the most successful musky fishermen of 2012. Jeff is the winner of the Alliance National Championship, where he set a record with 6 fish caught in the largest musky tournament in the world. He also had over 100 muskies in the boat this year and will talk about strategies for targeting the apex predators. An accomplished all-around hunter and fisherman, we are very excited to have Jeff join us this year.

An annual membership to the Boundary Waters Musky Club is $10 for an individual or $15 for a family. Dinner will be provided for all members around 5 p.m. CST, and new members who sign up that day will be welcome to stay. Rooms will be available at a discounted rate at the Econolodge (906) 776-8000.
