    Default Trolling motor batteries

I got a jet boat last summer and I need new batteries for the trolling motor. I've been researching on the Internet and it seems like everyone has a different opinion. I was hoping someone could let me know the best batteries to buy.

Thanks bob. Are the optima blue tops worth the price? Or are other batteries comparable

I ran Optima's for several years when weight was a serious issue with my smaller jon boats. For the price, I thought they performed as advertised.

I have been running the same pair of optima blue tops since the fall of 2008. I am on the rivers 100 - 200 hours per year. Hardly ever fish lakes. I like to fish upstream rather than drift down and my boat weighs close to 2000 pounds with me and gear. I use a Terrova 80 on a 24V system. I can typically fish two 12 hour days without charging. So Yes, I would say they are worth the money. Hope that helps.

Blue top Optimas work great for me I would buy them again when that time comes.
