Fishing report for 1-13-13

Got out Sunday afternoon for a little fishing. Ice depth was around 12 inches in some spots. Ended up with a mix bag of fish. A few perch, one bluegill, and one walleye(released of course). The weather was pretty cold with a stiff wind. Given the little amount of snow on the ice, travel was also tough. Good luck fishing!

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your report. The weather has been on a roller coaster lately. From 42 degrees to 1 below in 24 hours to now we are in for a cold artic blast for the weekend. The high for Sunday is supposed to be 3 below zero. Nice and crisp. Should make some good ice so there is always a silver lining.

I haven't been able to get out fishing. We are working on our new house in Raddison every free chance we get. Have about 4 more weekends of painting to do along with a bunch of other projects to get the house in order. If you're driving around enjoying the weather this weekend, stop in and say hi. We are at the west edge of Raddison, you'll see my truck. For those that don't know, the Wife and I bought a house in Raddison. The nearest boat landing to the Big Chip is only 8 miles away. The house needed some TLC, so we are in the process of fixing everything up. Good luck fishing everyone.

Raddison, wow. Good for you Tom. How close are you to the Village Kitchen? That's always a stop for us on our way up. I'll be coming up in late May. My first trip since August of 2010, can't wait.

Hi Tony,

We live about 3 blocks from the Village Kitchen. We get a cheese burger basket about once a week. I live about 8 miles from the Big Chip but am to busy with working on the house that I don't get out fishing much. I have another project underway that I will be announcing in a month. Now that I guide full toime, I have a bussiness that I will be starting up that goes hand in hand with the guideing. You can probably quess what it is, but I am still waiting to get all my ducks in a row before I get it up and running.
Let me know exactly when you come up in May. I'll make a point to see you guys. Maybe at the Village Kitchen for coffee.
