Thread: Improved winter access

    Default Improved winter access

Anyone that has used the yellow gate access the last few years, knows how bad the road was. This summer, Wildlife Unlimited of Delta County, and the Bays De Noc Great Lakes Sport Fishing club, provided funding to resurface the road. It's in great shape now, from Lakeshore Drive, to the tree line. The stretch of shore from the trees to the water line is still rutted up pretty good. I assume that stretch was considered "wetlands," and couldn't be touched. At least now there's only 50 yards of rough going, instead of 300. Hopefully the pressure cracks this year will let us use the access this season!

Good deal. I blew a tire off the rim on my snowmobile trailer before in those ruts.
