Thread: Madison Chain Fishing Report

  1. Default Madison Chain Fishing Report

Smallmouth bass are biting great on Mendota, with walleye and pike fishing picking up, as well. Concentrate on hard-bottom areas with adjacent green weeds. Muskie fishing is pretty good for numbers, but panfishing has slowed down. Lake Kegonsa has been the best bet for walleyes.

I was out yesterday afternoon/evening alone trolling on Lake Waubesa picked-up six Walleye four keepers on bottom bouncer with a tommy harris perch colored spinner the other two on deep diving crankbaits off leadcore line. Lost a BIG fish on the cranks that pulled loose after a couple of long runs and about a five minute battle might of been a musky or pike.
