Default Just another typical day for us on the Chip......

Skunked again......but that's OK. What a great body of water to be on! Fished many of the popular spots on the east side. When we were leaving, we didn't see a boat on Pete's....a first for me!

And what was the green slime on the water? Was the lake turning over as Mr. Sennett suggested? I thought I read here that he Chip doesn't really stratify and turn over. Can somebody clarify for me please?

Water temps at 55 in the AM and 61 by days end.

I believe the slime is weeds dying off.

You'll still see turnover on the Chip but it's not as ugly as on a natural basin style lake. The lake is definitely turning over and should be done by the end of this week. The warm weather prolongs it some. It's not as easy of a proccess as most think. It's pretty complex. Think of it as water chemistry mixing more than just the plain turnover.
