    Default lake benedict

Will be coming up to Leech lake on Sept 14th, land will be on Lake Benedict. I hope the channel to get to Kabegotona Bay and on to Leech Lake is not too low. I have actually caught some nice Walleys in September in the early evening and early morning right on Benedict. Have the jumbo pearch started biting by the Narrows yet, or any places where walleys are starting to bite during early morning or during the day. Little tricky and a long trip from Benedict through the channel to Leech. Thanks, cannot wait for our trip, we missed last year.

Water depth is still good should be no problem getting through the channel. The jumbo's are starting to show up. You will go through some smaller perch with some bigger fish scattered in the mix. Water temps still in the mid 70's but should cool down with predicted cooler night temps in the high 40's. Walleye fishing is still pretty slow with some fish caught in the evenings trolling cranks.
