Headed out on 8/26/12 for a 6.0 hour muskie trip and fishing was awesome..... Had our first fish within 15 minutes of setting the rods and it told us how the day was going to be. Ended up with double digit catch with our biggest just under the 50" mark.... We lost one that was a monster that we wont forget for quite awhile. One of my clients son (Marcus) gave it all he had fighting it for awhile before it gave us the slip. We worked the south shore over starting in at the Belle River hump into the Ruscum area. 15FOW seemed to be right were they were at. Cranky Nitro in Olive frog and St.Lawrence were the hot lures, we also managed a couple fish on Lokes and Ziggy's in the same colors. Nothing on the bucktails as that seems to be the pattern this season. Some fish here and there still caught on the bucktails so if you can keep one or two in the water. We have a busy upcoming schedule so look for upcoming reports. Good Luck and Good Fishing.
